My Favorite Products at Ulta Beauty

Hi guys! I wanted to put together a short list of my top faves from Ulta. These products are in my cart every time I make a trip to replenish my very much needed supplies! Growing up my mom was a kick ass hairdresser who taught me everything I know about hair and makeup. To this day I strive to find products I love and trust and I prioritize products that truly work!

Double Wear Instant Fix Concealer 24H Concealer + Hydra Prep

If I could run and shout about this product from the mountain tops, I would! The Estee Lauder, Double Wear Instant Fix Concealer is a two-sided prep and concealer tool. I am cursed with dark eyelids and a darker complexion under my eyes. Unfortunately, this is something I have dealt with my entire life and my esthiticain even told me it’s genetic! I have struggled for YEARS to find a product that really made me feel happier in my own skin. One side has a hydra prep serum for an instant hit of hydration. On the other end of the stick is the 24 hour concealer, and let me tell you… it really works! This flawless cover-up provides a natural satin finish with medium coverage. It covers beautifully without feeling like you have a ton of makeup on your face.

Randomly about a year ago I stumbled upon this concealer and it has changed my life! And HINT – I not only use this concealer to brighten my eyes, but I also use it as a color corrector over my entire face! In the summertime I simply use the concealer stick to put a few dots around my face and use my beauty blender to blend it around and there you go! I don’t even use liquid foundation because this concealer works so incredibly well. One of my other favorite parts about it is that it does not add any excess oil over the course of the day. This is super important for me because I tend to have an oily skin complexion.

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara

If you haven’t heard of the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara I would be shocked! This mascara is all the rage right now, but I have been using this mascara for a few years now and I couldn’t be happier. I have really long lashes and this mascara enhances their natural beauty. I will also say for those without naturally long lashes, the hourglass-shaped brush and acacia senegal tree extract encourages volume and helps lashes look absolutely beautiful.

I have tried several mascaras in my lifetime and most of them clumped or pulled my lashes together. This product creates full and defined lashes that don’t run or smear throughout the day. It also doesn’t take multiple coats to get the volume you desire. For only $25 at Ulta this is a steal, and it will last for about a quarter of the year depending on how frequently you use it. I use mine every day and only buy about 4 per year!

Matrix Total Results Mega Sleek Shampoo

Does anyone else out there struggle with oily skin? It’s a curse and a blessing that I get from my momma! It’s a blessing in disguise because like my mom, when I get a little bit older I will be thanking my oily skin for keeping me young! It’s a curse right now because I have struggled to find a shampoo that cleans my hair without over greasifying my hair.. Until now! I have been using Matrix Total Results Mega Sleek Shampoo and Conditioner  for a little over a year now and there just isn’t another product that compares.

Again, my mom was a hairdresser for many years and so I have been spoiled with salon quality products my entire life. When I graduated college and started living by my own means, I wanted to maintain the salon quality without having to pay a fortune. My mom actually uses this shampoo and conditioner and so when I realized it was only $23.50 a bottle I was sold! (And truth be told, I have found these products at Ulta several times for $12/bottle!) For someone with oily skin and long, naturally straight hair, this shampoo and conditioner combo is absolutely amazing. Plus the shea butter makes it smell so yummy!
